The names of the 65 finalists in the second annual IHA Innovations Awards have been released by the International Housewares Association. Winners in each of 13 categories will be announced in a ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2 in the Innovation Theater, Room E350, Lakeside Center, followed by a reception at the Innovation Awards display in the Hall of Global Innovation (Lakeside Center Lobby). The 2013 International Home + Housewares Show opens at 10 a.m. on March 2 and runs through 3 p.m. March 5.
More than 400 entries were received and were judged by a panel of industry experts and news media. The finalists will be on display in the New Product Showcases located in the Buyers Club in each Show building.

The judging panel for the second annual IHA Innovation Awards included housewares merchants from retailers such as Ace Hardware, Lowes, JC Penney, Pier 1, The Container Store, ShopKo, Cook’s Warehouse, Kitchen Window and A Southern Season.
