If there is a set of words commonly used to describe the products at the International Home + Housewares Show, the list would include phrases like “the latest and greatest”, “the industry’s first”, “groundbreaking technology” and so on. In conjunction with the thousands of new home and housewares products that move the industry forward each year, IHA has improved the International Home + Housewares Show year-upon-year with new resources, amenities and features.
One standout element that was new to the Show in 2010 was the Bloggers Lounge located in the Lakeside Center Lobby. The International Housewares Association knew that millions of people follow blogs, sometimes more closely than they do the traditional media sources. To accommodate, the Bloggers Lounge was created as a central hub where home and housewares industry bloggers could meet, discuss Show happenings, write their posts and then share a bit of the Show experience with readers thousands of miles away.
For a small taste of the kind of coverage these bloggers provided, to follow are some of the best posts covering the Dine + Design category of the Show, covering new kitchen gadgets, tabletop accents, and gourmet products.
