What inspires your passion in your work or area of expertise?
The Internet and digital marketing are constantly changing and evolving. It is very exciting to keep current on the tactics and strategies that work in this space.
Why did you choose to speak at the International Home + Housewares Show?
This industry has many businesses that can benefit from understanding and then putting into practice the tactics used in digital marketing. Many, however, do not know where to begin. With a little bit of directed education, I think some of the businesses that do not have large marketing departments can make wise choices about the use of social technologies to increases sales and customer satisfaction.
Tell us what you will be speaking about and how and this topic is important for Show audiences.
Every business can use more sales. There are now many success stories about companies using social technologies and how they find that digital marketing brings down the cost of generating new qualified leads and increases sales revenue. The trickiest part of managing the online portion of your business is converting your visitors to actual leads. You want your website to start working for you by seeing a return on the advertising money you are spending. Location internet searches for retail and wholesale are an increasingly important part of the mix. After this talk, companies will know how to begin implementing these tactics whether they are business-to-business or business-to-consumer.
This is your first time presenting at our Theater. What are you looking forward to most from speaking at the Innovation Theater?
I look forward to engaging companies in new technologies that will help them bring more success to their businesses.
What do you see as consumers’ biggest concerns regarding housewares products?
Consumers are very concerned about how to best engage and compare companies, products and services. Statistics tell us that overwhelmingly consumers are searching and researching on the Internet before making either online or in-store purchases.
What is the best advice you could give someone trying to get into your area of expertise?
It takes constant learning to fully understand how social technologies and digital marketing can best improve a business. An expert can help you!
Thank you, David, for giving us a preview of your presentation on how to use social media for greater revenues and customer satisfaction. We look forward to learning more on Sunday March 3 at 9:30 am in the Innovation Theater.
